Inspiring
At LPDA students, staff, parents and communities work together to inspire each other as well as learn from each other. We teach our students accountability through learning by example. Here are the ways we convey the power of sharing and carrying compassion:
Service Learning
LPDA plans Service Learning projects for our students so that they can become aware of, and active participants in building hope, prosperity and accountability in their communities. These projects include:
- Planting home grown organic foods,
- Learning to lower their individual carbon footprint,
- Reading and advocating literacy to elementary school youth,
- Collaborating on creative arts projects with foster children and their elders and
- Cleaning their local environment.
Even if students choose a different career path aside from dance, the life lessons, discipline, history and community development learned will translate into positive, well-rounded citizens for our future.
Community, Organization or Resource Collaboration-
LPDA also works with other organizations on collaborative projects and events to help grow partnership, community and real involvement for the betterment of youth across many lines of communication. The healthy growth and sustaining of businesses, support systems, resources and education comes from the active collaboration between organizations and causes. Below are organizations we are in partnership with, or have collaborated with in the past:
